Marsha Kay Seable, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 81. She will be remembered for her quiet faith, devoted service, unwavering love for her family, and the gentle way she blessed the lives of all who knew her.
Early Life
Marsha was born on December 6, 1944, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Lloyd and Zola Palmer. She was the youngest of three children.
While she was born in Twin Falls, her family soon moved to Portland, Oregon, where she was raised and graduated from Franklin High School in 1963.
She continued her education at Brigham Young University, where she graduated with honors in 1967.
That same year, in September 1967, Marsha married her best friend and eternal companion, John A. Seable, in the Logan Utah Temple. Together they shared more than 55 years of love, faith, and devotion.
Career & Service
Marsha dedicated more than 25 years of her professional life to the Caldwell School District, where she faithfully served in a variety of roles. Throughout her career, she quietly influenced and blessed the lives of countless students, families, and coworkers through her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help wherever she was needed.
Her greatest legacy, however, was one of service.
Faith
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marsha faithfully served in numerous Church callings throughout her life.
She especially loved serving in the Relief Society and Primary, finding great joy in ministering to others and teaching children.
One of her most cherished opportunities to serve was working alongside other Relief Society sisters to care for families who had lost a loved one. She quietly offered comfort, meals, friendship, and compassion during life's most difficult moments, embodying Christlike service in its purest form.
Family
Family was the center of Marsha's life.
She found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a place of love, faith, and quiet encouragement, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved most.

Marsha is survived by her son-in-law, Roger (Sharon) Myers; her children, John P. (Jenny) Seable, Crystal (Kjell) Nykreim, and Aaron (Marcia) Seable; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dave Palmer and Linda Willoughby; and special loved ones, the families of Mike and Malinda Karpowitz and Chad and Michelle Everton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Zola Palmer; her beloved husband, John A. Seable; and her daughter, Kimberly Myers.
A Lasting Legacy
Marsha's life was one of quiet discipleship.
She never sought recognition, yet her influence reached countless lives through simple acts of kindness, faithful service, and unconditional love. Her family and friends will forever remember the gentle example she set, the compassion she freely gave, and the peace she brought into every room she entered.
Though she is deeply missed, those who love her find comfort in the knowledge that she has been joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, John, and her daughter, Kimberly.
