Rachel Gwen Anderson, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in her home in Kuna, Idaho.

Rachel was born on December 30, 1951, to Madge Carolyn Greaves and L. Robert Anderson in Mount Pleasant, Utah. She was raised in Monticello, Utah, where she graduated from Monticello High School. She went on to attend and graduate from both Snow College and Brigham Young University.

On September 28, 1973, Rachel married David Clyde Anderson in the Manti Temple. Together, they raised their family across several states—Arizona, Utah, California, and Nevada—before retiring in Kuna, Idaho.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rachel served faithfully in many callings and, with her husband, served two full-time missions in the California Fresno Mission and the Nevada Las Vegas Mission.

Rachel is survived by her loving husband, David, and their eight children: Matthew and Amy Anderson, Sarah Harber, Nathan and Deserae Anderson, Rebecca and Adam Winspear, Christina and Douglas Call, Kathleen and Regan Johnson, Elizabeth and Vincent Hess, and John and Lacey Anderson. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren; her father, L. Robert Anderson; and her seven siblings: Lynette and Kim Christensen, Lyle and Susanne Anderson, Peter Anderson, Andrew and Nan Anderson, Samuel and Leslie Anderson, William Anderson, and Daniel and Sue Anderson—along with 54 nieces and nephews.

Rachel had a deep love for reading, quilting, and discussing meaningful, thought-provoking topics. She cherished her many friendships, often unaware of how deeply loved she truly was. Above all, Rachel adored her family—especially the babies—and had an abiding love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She is now joyfully reunited with her mother, Madge, and her infant brother, Clair.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8625 S Linder Rd, Kuna, ID 83634. A viewing will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
