Austin James Capser, age 28, passed away peacefully in his home on March 2, 2025, of cardiac arrest. Born in Boise, Idaho, he was the third of four children to Lance and Ranee Capser. Austin was an incredible son, beloved father, and an amazing friend.

Austin attended Columbia High School in Nampa, Idaho, and later went on to Montana State University–Billings.

Austin was a huge sports fan and loved watching football and basketball. His favorite teams were the Baltimore Ravens and OKC Thunder. He loved sports—both watching and playing—particularly since he was so naturally athletic.

Austin was passionate about his family, friends, and especially his daughter. He was loved by all, as he had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He left an imprint on the hearts of everyone he met.

A few months ago, Austin met the love of his life, Elysha Jacobsen. Austin was excited to build a future with her and her two children, Anthony and Illyana Marin, and eventually adding them to the Capser family.

Austin is survived by the light of his life, his daughter, Ellianna Victoria Bailey-Capser; his mother and father, Lance and Ranee Capser; his brother, Caelin (Mackenzie); sister, Kirsten (Brent); and younger brother, Derek (Fiana). He is also survived by his nieces, Amelia and Emery; grandparents, Diane Mikkelsen, Linda Capser, and John and Patsy Heppner; and by his aunts and uncles: Dale Heppner, Willowa French (Hoot), Angie Loyning, Christie Griep (Curtis), Bret Capser (Lauren), and Jana Fisher (Spencer).

Austin also had a plethora of “brothers/cousins” that he considered family: Jacob, Zack, Chase, Dawson, Cole, Rico, Adam, Moi, Michael, Curtis, Jake, Steven, Carl, Brayden, and so many more.

Austin was predeceased by his grandfather, Jim Capser; his uncle, Geary Loyning; and his and Elysha’s unborn baby boy.

Please carry on Austin’s memory by being there for others with compassion and love. Be the beacon of light that Austin always was for those who needed help to navigate safely through this thing called life. Never judge anyone or their circumstances, and keep smiling and looking for the positive in every situation.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2024, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa, ID. Funeral services will be held at 11:11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
