Opening Statement
In loving memory and with heavy hearts, the family of Samantha Jo Strack announces her passing on August 18, 2025. Samantha returned to her loving Heavenly Father surrounded by the love of her family.
Early Life
Samantha was born on May 30, 1982, during a stormy Memorial weekend. She spent her first 19 days in the NICU at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, where she fought courageously for her life. From a young age, Samantha worked through many therapies at the Elks and attended schools in Boise, later graduating from Skyview High School in Nampa.
Activities & Interests
Despite challenges, Samantha lived joyfully and embraced every opportunity given to her. She participated in Special Olympics, enjoyed downhill skiing at Bogus Basin, and played Challenger Baseball. She loved spending time with her sisters, brother, nephews, and nieces—always laughing with her radiant smile.
Travel was a special part of Samantha’s life. With her family, she enjoyed cruises, island adventures, and trips across America with her mom and stepdad. These experiences filled her life with joy, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

- Sisters: Julie (Randy) VanEs, Nichole Strack, Chelsea (Matt) Hope
- Nieces & Nephews: Kaitlyn, Alexander, and Mackenzie Lopez; Xavier Tomaskovich; Sophie and Chloe Strack; and Dane and Cora Hope
She was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Strack; grandparents, Victor and Betty Frans and William Strack; and her uncle, Kevin Easley.
Acknowledgments & Reflections
When Samantha was born, she was like magic—a true gift from above. Her family remembers the moment the angels whispered, “She is the tiniest thing you will ever put your whole life into.” From the instant she was placed in her mother’s arms, she snuggled into their hearts, never outgrowing her need for love.
Samantha was happy, innocent, and full of light. She will forever be remembered as the heart of her family, her life a testimony of love, laughter, and joy.

“She is a child of God, this child of mine.” Samantha’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a reminder of pure love and the blessing of her life.
