Ruth Moser Rasmussen
January 7, 1937 – October 20, 2024

Ruth Moser Rasmussen, of Boise, formerly of Sublett, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024.

She leaves behind six children: Jay Rasmussen of Twin Falls, Idaho; Keny (Kelly) Rasmussen of Sheridan, Wyoming; Dell (Nanci) Rasmussen of Gillette, Wyoming; Marjorie (Scott) Johnson of Boise, Idaho; Mickey (Glenna) Rasmussen of Kuna, Idaho; and Karl (Riley) Rasmussen of Kuna, Idaho. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews—all of whom loved her dearly.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman, Esther, and Maren Moser; her siblings, Eva Wallace, Calvin Moser, Nola Johnson, and Ross Moser; her beloved son, Gary Rasmussen; and her granddaughter, Jody Rasmussen.

Ruth found joy in the simple things of life—spending time with her family, reading, gardening, painting, music, and the beauty of nature. She had a heart for service, especially through her work in nursing and cooking. Her selfless acts of care and kindness touched many lives.

Despite enduring significant hardships and physical limitations throughout her life, Ruth’s resilient and positive spirit remained unshaken. Her quiet strength and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. She had the rare gift of making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved—balanced with the firm “Mom look” that kept everyone on their best behavior.

Ruth’s beautiful spirit and radiant love will be missed more than words can express.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Brook Hollow LDS Church, located at 3700 S. Maple Grove Rd., Boise, Idaho. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m., and graveside services at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the care of Summers Funeral Home.

Come help us celebrate her remarkable life.
