Pamela Marie Kautz
Pamela Marie Kautz went to be with her Father in Heaven on May 23, 2026, after a courageous six-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Pamela Marie Williams Kautz was born on January 18, 1955, in Boise, Idaho, the first of three children born to Earl Marion Williams and Joan Marie Edwards Williams. She spent her early years in Vale, Oregon, alongside her younger brothers, Jeffry and Matthew. Following the fourth grade, the family moved to Ontario, Oregon, where Pam became deeply involved in school and community activities.
Even as a child, Pam was energetic, adventurous, and determined. She often described herself as a tomboy who loved staying busy. Whether she was catching fish in a nearby creek to feed stray cats or organizing neighborhood children into a makeshift classroom where she served as the teacher, Pam displayed leadership and compassion from an early age.
During her years at Ontario High School, she participated in dance and colorguard. She graduated early and began her college education at Treasure Valley Community College.
Education & Career
One of Pam’s greatest passions was dance. That love led her to attend the University of Oregon, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance.
Following college, Pam found her dream career as a flight attendant. Over the course of an extraordinary 43-year career, she worked for Hughes Airwest, Northwest Airlines, and Delta Airlines before retiring in 2020.
Throughout her career, Pam received numerous awards and professional recognitions, but what she treasured most were the experiences and adventures that travel provided. Whether enjoying flowers in Amsterdam, walking the streets of Paris, or sharing a meal in London, she embraced every opportunity to explore the world and cherished every mile she traveled.
Marriage & Family
In the spring of 1987, Pam received flowers from a man helping landscape her yard in Federal Way, Washington. Those flowers led to a first date at Anthony’s Homeport in Tacoma, and just months later she married Rodney Kautz on September 5, 1987.
Together they built a beautiful life centered on faith and family. While living in Federal Way, they welcomed two children, Casey and Taylor. They later relocated to Boise, Idaho, allowing Pam to be closer to family and roots in the Treasure Valley.
Pam and Rod treasured raising their children surrounded by grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family remained at the center of Pam’s life, and her greatest joy expanded even further when she became a grandmother.
In 2023, after more than three decades in Boise, Pam and Rod moved to Vancouver, Washington, to be closer to their grandchildren. Her grandchildren were among her greatest blessings. She loved reading to them, singing with them, praying for them, and spending every possible moment creating memories together.
Talents & Hobbies
Pam had a remarkable gift for creating beauty wherever she went.
She developed a passion for gardening and furniture restoration, transforming every home she lived in into a place of warmth and beauty. She loved searching garage sales for hidden treasures and spending countless hours restoring furniture to new life.
Her gardens flourished under her care, and her talent for decorating helped transform houses into homes. She generously shared her knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm with family and friends, always encouraging others and helping them create beauty in their own lives.
Faith & Legacy
Above all else, Pam’s life was centered on her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Through quiet daily devotion, faithful service, and unwavering discipleship, she consistently pointed others toward Him. Her faith remained strong throughout every challenge she faced, including her battle with cancer.
Pam’s humility, authenticity, and steadfast trust in God touched countless lives. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her greatest desire—to faithfully follow Christ—has now brought her into His presence.
Her legacy continues to inspire all who knew her to live with faith, grace, courage, and love.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Pam’s influence and example continue to shine brightly through her family and all whose lives she touched.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured Nana, faithful sister, cherished friend, and unwavering follower of Jesus Christ.
