Opening Statement
With love and gratitude, the family of Steven Noall Streeper announces his peaceful passing at home in Pocatello, Idaho, on August 18, 2025, one day before his 82nd birthday.
Early Life & Heritage
Steve was born on August 19, 1943, in Palo Alto, California, to Noall Robert Streeper of Kaysville, Utah, and Anna Laura Nielsen Streeper of Brigham City, Utah. Proud of his Danish heritage, Steve treasured the fact that both of his maternal grandparents were born in Denmark. From 1962 to 1965, he faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark, strengthening his testimony, embracing his roots, and building lifelong connections.
Marriage & Family
On August 12, 1966, Steve married the love of his life, Patricia Gale Henson, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage, raising a family and building a life full of love and devotion.
They were blessed with three children:
- Steven Eric Streeper (Jennifer)
- Robert Brent Streeper (Candice)
- Alison Streeper Cathey (Cale)
Steve was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Dayne Eric Streeper, Peregrin Earl Streeper, Abella Blue Cathey, Cody Steven Streeper, Sonja Gale Streeper, Cohen Grey Cathey, and Ashton John Streeper.
Service & Career
Steve served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a combat medic and operating room technician with the 71st Evacuation Hospital in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
After his military service, Steve pursued higher education and, following in his father’s footsteps, earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1974. In 1998, he and Pat purchased Lost River Drug Pharmacy in Arco, Idaho, where he worked until his retirement in 2014. He loved his customers and was dedicated to serving his community.
Passions & Interests
Steve’s life was marked by curiosity and creativity. He was a licensed HAM radio operator, enjoyed building and flying remote-control airplanes, and loved motorcycle riding. His craftsmanship shone through in woodworking, photography, and building and playing his own banjos. He had a strong interest in computer programming and was known to enjoy a good movie—sometimes two or three a day.
Faith
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Steve lived his faith through service, family, and commitment to the gospel.
