With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Ann Larson Martinez, who left this world on August 10, 2025, in Blackfoot, Idaho. Born on September 16, 1958, in Salmon, Idaho, Lois was a vibrant soul whose spirit touched the lives of many. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Lois was the cherished daughter of Lawrence Alvin and Carol Irene Larson and grew up in a close-knit family that instilled strong values in her from a young age. Throughout her life, she embraced her passions. She had a profound love for fishing and gardening, activities that allowed her to connect with nature and find peace in life’s simple joys. Her time spent in Alaska was particularly special, where she enjoyed countless days in the great outdoors, creating cherished memories.
Lois shared 20 wonderful years with her devoted partner, David Gross, building a life full of love, laughter, and support. Her legacy continues through her beloved sisters, Leah Mae Larson Martinez and Kelly Kay Larson, who carry forward her spirit and values. She is also survived by extended family and many friends who will remember her for her unwavering love and the way her infectious laughter could light up a room.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kevin Dee, Allan Lynn, Lawrence Gene, and Marva Gay, as well as her partner David Gross. Lois had a rare gift for forming deep connections with others—she loved hard, and she partied harder. Those fortunate enough to have known her will never forget her joyous spirit and her embrace of life with open arms.
Service Information
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, Idaho. A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Arco.
