Charles William “Bill” Stauffer Jr., 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his home in Howe, Idaho.

Bill was born on March 9, 1936, in Wendell, Idaho, to William C. Stauffer and Lida Hill Stauffer. He spent his youth in Wendell, attending local schools and graduating from Jerome High School in 1954.

On October 3, 1955, Bill married his sweetheart, Patricia Zoe Amy. They made their home in Howe, Idaho, where they raised their family. Bill farmed and ranched his entire life, a work he deeply loved. He also raised Quarter Horses and enjoyed racing them, both on the flat track and in chariot races.

A devoted man of faith, Bill was a member and Deacon at the Little Lost River Bible Church, where he also served as superintendent and teacher. His dedication to his community and his love for his family and animals were constants throughout his life.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Pattie Stauffer; his son, Mark Stauffer; his daughter, Jackie (Todd) Echeverria; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Lyn Stauffer; two brothers, Denny and Jim; two sisters, Barbara and Jeannie; and a nephew, Jeff Weigle.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Lost River Bible Church, 1514 Highway 33, Howe, ID. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Howe Cemetery.
