Robert Lee “Bob” Ward

November 17, 1964 – March 14, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lee “Bob” Ward, who left this life on March 14, 2025, in Penn Valley, California. Born in Sacramento on November 17, 1964, Bob lived a life dedicated to service, family, and laughter.

For 35 years, Bob served as a paramedic with American Medical Response, offering critical care and compassion to those in urgent need. His work was far more than a career—it was a calling. With steady hands and a kind heart, Bob brought comfort in life’s most vulnerable moments. His legacy of service, integrity, and empathy endures in the lives he touched.

Outside his profession, Bob found joy in all things mechanical. If it had an engine, Bob could fix it. He loved cars, motorcycles, and especially his boat, which he often took out on the lake in the summer. RV travel was a favorite pastime, giving him the freedom to explore national parks and scenic roads across the country with family and friends. He also treasured time at home—playing video games with his children and bonding with his grandchildren brought him immense happiness.

Bob was known for his dry, clever sense of humor. Always ready with a joke or a prank, he had a way of bringing lightness to every room. Whether you needed help with a repair or simply needed a friend, Bob was the one people called.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Megan, Alex, Keith, and Nathaniel, and their mother Stacey. He is also survived by two beloved grandchildren, and his siblings: Don, John, Jim, Becky, and Linda. Bob leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer King Ward and Laneta Esther Ward; his brother David; his nephew Jon; his niece Sharon; and his great-nephew JR.
