Mathew Francis Fitch
July 11, 1977 – June 2, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mathew Francis Fitch. Born on July 11, 1977, Matt took his final breath on June 2, 2025. Known for his humor, kindness, helpfulness, and his love for a good time, Matt’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is lovingly remembered by his family:

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Francis Rosenkrance and Lola Rosenkrance, with whom he now rests in eternal peace.
Matt attended Skyline High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho, graduating in 1995, and went on to earn his B.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Idaho in 2003. Among his proudest accomplishments were:
- Graduating from the University of Idaho
- Courageous years of service in wildfire and natural disaster response
- His cherished roles as a father to Boston and grandfather to Scottie
Matt enjoyed life’s adventures—he loved playing 4-5-6, and found joy in fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing, and attending horse races, a passion he inherited. He also spent years officiating basketball in and around Pocatello and was an avid sports enthusiast, watching countless games with his family. He was a dedicated coach and supporter of his son Boston, never missing a game.
Throughout his life, Matt exemplified hard work, humor, and a deep commitment to family. He believed in the power of perseverance, laughter, and kindness—lessons he shared generously with those around him. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
