Cody Techick
March 3, 1995 – March 22, 2025

Cody Techick of Idaho Falls, our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, left us too soon on March 22, 2025. Born in Idaho Falls on March 3, 1995, to Timothy and Chantel Techick, Cody’s life was marked by adventure, hard work, and a generous heart.

He spent his early years in Idaho Falls before moving with his family to Arco, then later to Mackay, where he attended Mackay High School until 2014 and met his lifelong best friend, Taezen. During his young adult years, Cody also lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Douglas, Wyoming. He worked a variety of jobs including detailing cars, operating heavy equipment, and working in the Wyoming oil fields.

Cody’s adventurous spirit first led him to Twin Falls in 2015, where he worked delivering, picking up, and detailing rental cars. The pull of home brought him back to Mackay, and in 2019, he moved to Douglas, Wyoming, working as an equipment operator in the oil fields. When life slowed in 2020, he returned to Mackay, spending summers alongside his father installing and repairing sprinkler systems.

In 2022, Cody relocated to Idaho Falls and joined Knife River as a loader operator—a role that suited his tireless work ethic. No matter how tired or sore, Cody was always ready to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.

Beyond his dedication to work, Cody loved the outdoors and adventure. Growing up far from town, he developed a passion for hunting, fishing, camping, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, and boating with his brother and friends. The mountains were his second home, and he never missed an opportunity to explore their rugged beauty. Cody’s competitive spirit shone in games like darts and dirt bike races, while his friendly, social nature made him the heart of every gathering. He especially loved cooking for friends and family, with Italian food being a favorite.

In 2023, Cody was overjoyed to meet his niece, who quickly became a cherished part of his life. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. Cody’s adventurous spirit, generous heart, and infectious laughter will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Techick; Terrell Techick; Lois and Edward Techick. He is survived by his mother, Chantel Techick; siblings Tyler Techick and Janice Techick; and his beloved niece, Pyper Mae Techick.

A celebration of Cody’s life will be held at Anderson Funeral Home, Arco, Idaho, on March 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with family and friends gathering from 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Cody’s memory by spending time outdoors, sharing stories, cooking a great meal, and embracing life’s adventures—just as he always did.
